What is CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture which is a system that connects local food producers with local consumers. Beechmount Farm’s CSA allows customers to purchase a subscription and receive a box of seasonal vegetables every week for 20 weeks over the summer and autumn.
Why CSA?
CSAs allow customers to support a local business that values sustainability and grows food using environmentally friendly methods.
In addition, a subscription box is a great way to learn about seasonal produce and the range of vegetables which can be grown in the Irish climate.
When will vegetables be delivered?
Subscription boxes will be delivered weekly on Thursday evenings. You first delivery will be Thursday, June 22nd and your final delivery will be Thursday November 2nd.
Where will you leave my delivery?
Boxes can be delivered directly to your home or to a pick-up point in your local village. Please consult our map which shows which areas we deliver to. Once you have bought your subscription, we will contact you to arrange the details of your delivery. If you have any questions, please contact us at beechmountfarmcork@gmail.com.
Where will you leave the box?
Ideally, we will hand the box to you directly. If you are unavailable, we can leave the box in secure place at your house. We recommend leaving a large plastic box outside where our delivery can be stored until you get home.
What can I expect to get in each box?
Each week you will enjoy a selection of seasonal vegetables and herbs. This a great opportunity to eat seasonally and enjoy the freshest and tastiest vegetables, picked on the morning of your delivery.
This season we are growing the following produce:
Aubergines, beans, beetroots, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, celery, chard, courgette, cucumber, garlic, kale, lettuce, mangetout, onions, pak choi, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkin, radish, rocket, spring onions, squash, tomatoes, turnip, basil, parsley, coriander, sage, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, oregano, chives, mint, and microgreens.

When you order a subscription service via www.beechmountfarmcork.ie an
I have specific allergies to certain vegetables or there are particular vegetables I don’t like. Is it possible to substitutions?
Yes, it is possible to make substitutions. When you pay for your subscription, you will receive a short survey where you can outline your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
What happens if I am away on holiday?
Please let us know one week in advance if you will be away during the 20-week period. Your subscription will roll-over so you will receive a box later in the season instead of during your holiday.
Alternatively, you can gift your box to a neighbour or friend.
I’m interested but I’m not sure how to prepare or eat some of the vegetables.
Don’t worry. We will be posting recipe ideas on our Facebook and Instagram pages to inspire you.
